Client Dismissed from a Multi-Party Products Liability Case.
Our Business Litigation team obtained dismissal of a heavily litigated products liability case.
Our client, a safety consultant, was one of five defendants in a products liability case involving a serious industrial accident. After our client settled her claims with the plaintiff, one of the co-defendants attempted to escalate its cross-claims against her, thus keeping her in the lawsuit following her settlement.
Our team of business litigators filed a motion for judgment on the pleadings, arguing that the cross-claim had no basis in fact or law. A Middlesex Superior Court Judge agreed, and dismissed our client from the lawsuit, ending her involvement and exposure.
